NDZ is a pawn of the Gupta family

Sunday Tribune - - LETTERS -

WITH reference to the article “Why NDZ should head ANC” where the writer, Clyde Ramailane, nails his colours to the mast of Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma for the 13th presidency of the ANC (Sunday Tribune, September 17), I beg to differ.

It is no secret President Jacob Zuma is intent on passing the baton to his ex-wife, which will mean keeping it in the family – the Gupta family, that is. To call Dlamini Zuma a Gupta candidate is merely stating a fact. The Gupta brothers anointed her long before there was any succession talk, naming her South African of the Year, an award nobody knew existed and a poisoned chalice if ever there was one.

Dlamini Zuma is proving to be a loyal soldier of the Guptas, criss-crossing the country without uttering anything untoward about the family, state capture and rampant corruption.

When she has occasion to open her mouth, she has two things to say: “radical economic transformation” and “white monopoly capital”, slogans given to her by the Guptas and Bell Pottinger. This is all we know about the woman who wants to be president. My choice is Ramaphosa for president. He has integrity.
