YOUR STARS

- By Tanya Obreza

Your year ahead – Scorpio:

From time to time, the least amount of effort can bring the biggest rewards. Scorpios have an innate charm and confidence, but this year your immaculate sense of timing also helps to steer most things your way. Plus your words and actions ensure you deliver the goods. It’s a winning formula at a time when you’re urged to mix business with pleasure. It’s also important to set intentions for the next 12 months. Create a vision board.

Aries (March 21 - April 20)

Putting your grand plans into motion could prove to be tricky this week. While you’re keyed up about forging ahead, other people’s roles and certain details need to be considered. Pushing your agenda before it’s primed to go isn’t the best recipe for success. Let your ideas percolate for a few days.

Taurus (April 21 - May 20)

If you’re waiting for the good times to roll, this week you just might get a taste of things to come. Your optimism is contagious, and can’t help but draw both happiness, and surprises. Someone new makes a massive impact on you; with flirtation possibly leading to love. Travel also appeals.

Gemini (May 21 - June 21)

When reality doesn’t fit in with your expectations, you might feel tempted to blame others. One thing’s for sure, we all see things in different ways – and few of us have the power to read each other’s minds. Spell your plans out more clearly next time.

Cancer (June 22 - July 22)

Many sobering lessons have been learned in recent times. But while tribulations have tested physical energy, you’ve been blessed emotionally and spiritually. As further reward, the cosmos returns considerably more than was originally lost. Well done.

Leo (July 23 - August 23)

Prepare for a power struggle. This might sound like unwelcome news when you’re already under such pressure – but quite the contrary. You’re in the right, and colleagues and those further up the career chain know it. They’re watching your reaction. Work it to your advantage.

Virgo (August 24 - September 22)

Someone’s in a controlling mood, and you don’t like it one bit. This person is a bully – and the more you resist their attempts to rule, the crankier they become. Rather than get locked into a battle of wills, show your strength by simply ignoring them. They won’t know how to cope with that!

Libra (September 23 - October 23)

Librans live off adrenaline, always impatient to meet the next challenge. No one can motivate others like you, but burnout is a common affliction. Something to bear in mind for now. This could be a powerful week, but only if you stick to some basic rules. Stay grounded and healthy.

Scorpio (October 24 - November 22)

When happiness takes a sabbatical, you need to delve a little deeper to search for contentment. This is also more a time for giving rather than taking. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, especially if there’s a sense of loss accompanying current circumstances.

Sagittarius (November 23 - December 21)

Flexibility is usually the Sagittarian key to survival, but not so this week. For now, you’ve permission to dig your heels in as stubbornly as you wish. Perhaps, too – you feel it’s pay back time. But revenge isn’t the answer. Retaliate with kindness, instead. In any case, it’s far more dignified just to walk away.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 20)

Expect guarded progress, Capricorn. While your love life is on the improve, there are still some loose ends that need tidying. Areas of caution include friendships, mostly due to another’s stress. This week is all about your ability to support, without judgment.

Aquarius (January 21 - February 18)

During this week, life could occasionally feel overwhelming. You may be unsure of what steps to take next. You may even be unsure about what just happened. You’re being reminded to believe in who you truly are, to trust your heart and know that you are on the right path.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Pisceans are known for their wistful ways. It’s fine to have the occasional daydream – but don’t let fantasies replace reality. A hard ask, I know. But in order not to become downtrodden, you really must be able to deal with the cold, hard facts of life – and there may be a few this week.
