Bobby Deol cherishes people over awards

-

BOBBY Deol, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Race 3, says the love and support of people matter more to him than critical acclaim and awards.

The actor, who was present this week at an International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA ) press conference, was asked about his views on parallel cinema organisations that gave more awards and acclaim than mainstream Bollywood.

Bobby replied: “I consider my father (Dharmendra) as one of the most iconic and talented actors of our country, who was never given a best actor award. He received lots of love and appreciation from his fans and that is happening with my fans as well.”

Bobby will be performing at the IIFA this month after seven years.
