Sunday Tribune - - TRA VEL -

JASMITHA Padyachee, a broker consultant from Mount Edgecombe, and Tashin Subbiah, a financial planner from La Lucia, married on September 8 at Sibaya Sun Park, umhlanga Rocks.

How we met

Tashin and I met through friends at UKZN Westville where we were doing our Bcom degrees.

The proposal

We were on holiday in Cape Town. He went down on one knee in Casa Labia Art Gallery. We had a Tamil wedding ceremony attended by immediate family. Our reception was for 450 guests.

Biggest challenge

Both of us are opinionated. Tashin says I’m full of ideas and he’s the one who brings them to life.

Views on love and marriage Friendship and love is what keeps us together. I love the quote: “Love is friendship set on fire”. My advice is to enjoy every moment.
