Re­li­gious gather to quell crime

MEM­BERS of the Mo­hammedeya Musjid (mosque) in Over­port are ral­ly­ing to­gether to curb the preva­lence of crime in Dur­ban.

The group has planned a mass gather­ing of in­ter­faith lead­ers and com­mu­ni­ties at the mosque, which is sit­u­ated on Moses Kotane (Sparks) Road, on Novem­ber 21.

At the gather­ing, due to start at 8am, var­i­ous re­li­gious lead­ers, city and SAPS heads are ex­pected to ad­dress crime re­lated is­sues. The “Con­quer­ing Crime Through Mass Gather­ing” event will end in prayer.
