‘ Out, evil Dana!’

‘ How can you make love to a married man and your friend’s husband?’

YOU RE evil,” reads part of a text message sent to Afro-soul musician Simphiwe Dana by Mpondomise Hilary "Mise" Dayile.

Dayile is the friend and business partner of Dana's now ex-lover Lebo Keswa.

She apparently sent the SMS after Dana slept with former singer, now prison pastor and business strategist Lucky Shabangu, who is married.

From the SMSES Dana exchanged with our source, it is clear she's head-overheels in love with Shabangu, who claims he stopped the affair to save his marriage.

“I’m sure by now you know that I don’t feel that loving Lucky is a mistake. I'm very remorseful about the impact it has had on our families and I wish I could turn back time when we had not met and never would,” she Smssed.

“As I said love is not a choice otherwise we would choose otherwise (sic). We’re not that stupid as human species. I'm naive in love and I wouldn ’ t have it other way.”

When approached for her side of the story, Keswa, a divorced mother of two, who is open about her lesbian sexuality, says: I'm sorry for the day I ever met Simphiwe. She's brought nothing but chaos and destruction to my life. Oh, my God, you “also know that I kicked her out?”

She shows Sunday World the SMS she sent to Dana when she learnt about her liaison with Shabangu and in which she tells her to get out of her Sandton house.

It reads in part: “Ever since I met you I have had mixed state of (sic) feelings; sometimes I don’t know who you are or who I am ... you ’ re loving and sweet soul today the next day you’re spiteful and destructive.

“We make love today the next moment you make love with other people’s lovers.

“How can you make love to a married man and your friend’s husband? I just don’t know who you are. Get out my life; get out of my house.

“That’s where it ends between you and me. I don’t want to see you anymore. ”

This is apparently not the first time Dana has been unfaithful to Keswa. On a previous occasion she spent time with Keswa s ex-lover, who is several years younger than her.

Keswa let that one go, but sleeping with Shabangu was the last straw.

Dayile was the first to spring into action. She fired off an SMS expressing dismay that Dana dated Shabangu when she knew he was married and was friends with Shabangu's wife Thofo.

In the SMS Dayile writes: “You’re evil. You’ve left destruction wherever you ’ ve been. You destroy other people’s lives. Go out of our lives and leave us in peace. You come and just claim things. We ’ ve been quiet when you go around not mentioning us as the owners of the club.” Shabangu put Dana up in a Rosebank hotel until month-end, when her publicist will vacate her Orange Grove house.

Asked to comment, Shabangu says: There s no woman worth my marriage. I have apologised to my wife for what happened. My love affair with Simphiwe only lasted for eight days. It was a human error “on my part but my family and church comes first to me. I can't risk my loving wife and my faith. As for providing Simphiwe with a place to stay, it's only for a week until month end. I couldn t throw out a “’ mother and children after she was chased away by Lebo, who is also a friend. You must remember “that Simphiwe is also a mother.” dlaminimd@sundayworld.co.za
