ANC constituency offices in Rosebank, northern Joburg, were gutted by fire on Friday.

This comes three weeks after a break-in

when computers and important documents were stolen at the same office.

A statement from ANC chief whip Stone Sizane’s office outlined the damage done by the fire.

Nobody was injured, but important office equipment and documents have been destroyed, said the statement.

Sizane’s spokesman, Moloto Mothapo, said the fire broke out on Friday afternoon while staff were having lunch in another part of the building.

They started smelling the smoke and soon discovered the fire was at the ANC offices,” Moloto said.

The constituency office belongs to ANC MP and Deputy Science and Technology Minister
