THULI Madon­sela is fear­less and stands her ground, say­ing she will not step down amid the tus­sle be­tween the state and her over the Nkandla up­grade in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

The pub­lic pro­tec­tor’s cross­ing of swords with the se­cu­rity clus­ter min­is­ters re­gard­ing her re­port on Nkandla, which ended in the courts, proves she has guts.

In her de­politi­cis­ing” of the Nkandla re­port con­tro­versy, Madon­sela was forth­right, say­ing she would not give the min­is­ters another chance to look at her re­vised re­port be­fore she makes it pub­lic.
