UR­BAN Brew Stu­dios has made three new ap­point­ments. Her­bert Hadebe has been ap­pointed the head of scripted pro­duc­tions, Ade­laide Joshua-Hill will head un­scripted pro­duc­tions and Joanne Lurie is the new head of Cre­ative.

Hadebe brings with him more than 15 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the film and TV in­dus­try.

Last year, he was se­lected as an Emmy Award ju­ror and at­tended the event in New York.

He works on two drama se­ries for Ur­ban Brew Stu­dios, Mzansi Magic s

Za­bal­aza and s re­cently ended Gold

Dig­gers . Ade­laide Joshua-Hill started her ca­reer at Ur­ban Brew in 2009 as an

education con­sul­tant for YoTV.

She then be­came head of YoTV mini and went on to head its port­fo­lio.

Joanne Lurie, in the TV in­dus­try for 13 years, spent eight of her nine years at Ur­ban Brew pro­duc­ing 3Talk with Noeleen.

Be­fore join­ing the com­pany, she worked on The Weak­est Link, The Big­gest Loser and Big

Brother . Liz Row­land has been ap­pointed GM at Gar­den Court Morn­ing­side.

She was pre­vi­ously the Deputy GM at South­ern Sun OR Tambo.

She started in the ho­tel in­dus­try with Tsogo Sun in June 1998 as a re­cep­tion­ist, and worked her way up through study­ing, do­ing ho­tel in­dus­try-re­lated cour­ses.
