No love lost over Tina's doccie

CONTROVERSIAL Afro pop chanteuse Tina Dlangwana is being accused by trailblazing Tshwane film maker Thapelo Mangena of being a crook.

Mangena, fondly known as Twistyleeroy, alleged he charged Dlangwana R35 000 for producing a documentary on her popular cabaret show #Divasonloose at Thaba Moshate in Tshwane about two months ago.

He said Dlangwana sent him from pillar to post when he contacted her to pay for his services. She complained the quality of the documentary was tawdry.

“She started saying all these things when I wanted my money because she had told me that she was happy with my work. Now I want all film producers to be on alert that Tina Dlangwana is a user.

“My biggest mistake was to work without signing a contract with her because I trusted her and her drama stories, ” he said.

But Dlangwana hit back at Mangena, and accused him of being a psychopath determined to bleed her of her cash. “This man is a pyscho who wants nothing but to suck cash from me. Thapelo is one of my dancers ’ boyfriend. He came to me two months ago and said he wanted to do work for me for free because that is the only way he could get exposure.

“I then asked him to produce a fiveminute clip for my show which I uploaded on my website. Then later on he came to me and said he wanted me to pay him, for what? This boy must sit down. He wants cheap publicity by using my name because I ’ ma celebrity. I have paid R100 000 for videos of my songs, so what is R35 000 for me?” she asked.
