Gallo Record,'Idols SA 2016' join forces

GALLO Record Company this week announced that it had signed a deal with 19 Recordings Inc, giving it exclusive rights to sign Idols SA 2016 contestants.

The label will release singles for the Top Three contestants, while the overall winner will be given an exclusive recording deal and a guaranteed album release on CD and digital.

“It’s fantastic to be associated with the prestige of the Idols brand and successes with artists who have gone on to have firmly established careers in the music business – past winners like Heinz Winckler, Elvis Blue, Musa Sukwene and Khaya Mthethwa to previous Idols contestants like Graeme Watkins.

“Gallo is looking forward to working with the winner and any other possible contestants we may end up recording,” said Rob Cowling, Gallo’s label services manager.
