Allow media to do its job unhindered

Sunday World - - Viewpoint - By e-mail

It is amazing how people will leave no stone unturned in pursuit of fame yet when they find it they shun the media, turning it into an enemy.

Working for the media requires one to develop a thick skin because telling the truth risks putting one’s life at risk.

As much as we all like to have positive stories written about us, the media’s job is to report factual and balanced stories about what’s happening in society.

Celebrities should know that being in the public eye comes with a lot of pressure.

My passionate plea to the media is for you to do your job with great aplomb and without fear or favour.
