Bite-size starters to pre­pare for guests

Along with the warm weather, this time of the year brings more host­ing of guests who now don’t mind be­ing out and about so­cial­is­ing with friends, fam­ily and strangers.

Noth­ing is bet­ter than mak­ing your guests happy and sat­is­fied, which is why I wanted to share bite-size starters for you to pre­pare and serve when your guests ar­rive, as you get the main meal ready.

Sweet potato avo prawn bites

1 sweet potato sliced in 1cm 2 ta­ble­spoons olive oil

500g prawns, peeled and de­veined

1/2 tea­spoon smoked pa­prika

1/2 tea­spoon ground cumin

1/2 tea­spoon sea salt

1/4 tea­spoon chili pow­der

4 small av­o­ca­dos

1/2 cup co­rian­der, chopped

finely juice of 1 lime salt to taste

Pre­heat oven to 180 Place the sweet potato slices on the greased bak­ing pan.

Use a brush to brush the tops of the sweet potato slices with olive oil. Lightly sea­son with salt.

Bake in oven for 5-10 min­utes on ei­ther side. Al­low to cool.
