Ten excellent years for IPC

Talk of the Town - - Businessforum -

IT’S time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Independent Property Consultants (IPC), having opened its doors under the leadership of dealer principal Gill Turner in May 2007.

IPC was established in 1992 and has grown to be one of the most successful estate agencies in the Eastern Cape, with more than 40 registered, qualified real estate agents working for themselves under the IPC umbrella.

After the phenomenal success of the Port Alfred office, situated at the MyPond Centre, Turner opened an IPC Bathurst branch, adjacent to the Pig and Whistle pub, under the management of her sister, Jacqui de Lange.

“Both Port Alfred and Bathurst are experiencing good sales,” said Turner, who has just received the award for franchise of the year from IPC.

“Added to this, IPC awarded us top franchise in terms of turnover and sales. This is the first time we’ve won the top franchise award. IPC also presented us with a Diamond Award for the number of registered sales.”

Turner said she had always had a passion for property and began her career as an estate agent in 1971.

“Then I stopped to raise a family and assist my husband, Rob, with his business for the next 25 years.”

Turner went back into the estate agency business in Port-Alfred 17 years ago and worked for two different agencies before taking on the IPC franchise.

“You have excellent exposure if you list your property with IPC as it will be accessible from the main IPC website and Property 24, giving exposure to a vast range of people who may be interested in buying property in our area.”

She said her team, including her qualified agents De Lange and Rose Ryan, husband Rob and secretary Colleen Bagley, were all committed to the business.

“We are all very passionate about the work we do, and will go the extra mile to accommodate the wants and needs of our clients,” she said. “We have a very enthusiastic sales team.”

Thus far, year-on-year, Turner has seen the company grow in terms of revenue.

“We hope to continue this trend,” Turner said.

So, if you are looking to sell or buy, speak to an estate agency that understands your needs and will do their utmost to fulfil them.

Speak to IPC, as they know the area and the people and will give you the professional advice you would expect from one of the Eastern Cape’s most successful franchises.

The last word is Turner’s. “It’s a way of life for us; the small team with the big dream.”
