PORT Alfred High Scool (PAHS) pupil, Lise-Mari Coetzee, played a role in helping the Eastern Province U13A squash team secure fourth place out of 14 teams at the recent inter-provincial tournament. The team lost to Northerns A (nine games to 10) and to Border A (10 games all). These teams finished second and third respectively with KwaZuluNatal taking first place.
Sponsored by Refreshhh! Beverages, PAHS held a successful golf day on Friday June 30 at the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club. Funds raised go towards improving the educational resources for the children in Grades 1, 3 and 3. Head Boy, Wian Van Aswegen, played in a four-ball with deputy headmaster, Ian Knott-Craig, former PAHS parent, Steve Gardner and Colin Wiggle, securing ninth place overall. Van Aswegen also won the prize for the best gross on the day with a score of 69.

Sandy Fryer, Sue Roll, Heather Lockyer and Brian Reid won first place and plans are afoot to make this an annual event,” PAHS marketing head, Laura Mileham, said.
VICTORY: Graham House player’s winners of the junior Inter-house competition. The St Andrew’s College Inter-House rugby matches have been fiercely contested this year and players displayed great pride in their Houses. The Inter-House matches have taken place over the course of two weeks with the final being contested on Saturday July 22. Upper House won the Senior Inter-House Rugby Competition and Graham House won the Junior Inter-House Rugby Competition
