Port Al­fred Bowl­ing and Cro­quet Club

THE Doris Ford and Les Clarke played against Ken­ton last week re­sulted in both our ladies’ and men’s teams lead­ing Ken­ton by two points each.

The last round to be played at Ken­ton in De­cem­ber.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Co­lette Reid and Jane Ar­mitage on be­ing the win­ner and run­ner-up in the Ladies’ Open Sin­gles re­spec­tively, as well as to Co­lette Reid and Noe­lene Kirsten on win­ning the Ladies’ Drawn Pairs with Lynda Schon­ing and Julie Sl­iz­iuk be­ing the run­ners-up.

The Radue-spon­sored com­pe­ti­tion was won by Rose­mary Wood, Wins Col­lett and Arthur Beres­ford – well played.

The Buco Trips re­sults, which were played over the week­end at Kowie, are as fol­lows: Men’s win­ners, A Sec­tion – Port Al­fred; Men’s win­ners, B Sec­tion – Port Al­fred.

Our Ladies came in third place but over­all Port Al­fred won the tro­phy for the year. Con­grat­u­la­tions to all the play­ers who par­tic­i­pated.

We wish good bowl­ing to our teams cho­sen to play in the Colleen Timm and Moore Shield which will be played at Kowie on Satur­day af­ter­noon.
