EP cricket colours for Kingswood’s Nkwinti
“I have worked so hard over the years for this opportunity,” Bukho said.
His dad, Sxeaks Nkwinti, who grew up playing the sport, expressed his excitement and how proud he was of his son’s achievement.
“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree – my son takes after me,” he said. “I grew up playing the same sport. When I was in Grade 6 I used to play for Midlands and a team called Border.
“That was back in 1976, so most of the time I train him. Cricket runs in the family genes.
“All that travelling up and down, going to Port Elizabeth and back for training has finally paid off.
“Spending all that time in the cricket nets following a gruelling training programme is finally reaping benefits.
“I am very proud of him and I feel very happy, the results of all that hard work is finally showing,” said Sxeaks.
Bukho will be participating in a regional tournament in Klerksdorp from December 10 to 14.
“I am very excited about the tournament.
“I have been training very hard for this opportunity and I am very ready for the match – I am proud of myself and confident too,” said Bukho.
Sxeaks is looking for sponsors to help his son’s budding cricket career.
