Hi Doctor, I drink a lot on weekends and, besides a hangover, I get swollen and sore legs and feet. So swollen that I begin to limp when I walk. This happens regularly, how do I fix it?

Drinking a lot is not good and that might be a good place to start in treating your problem. Alcohol in heavy amounts has an effect on your liver, kidneys, pancreas and immune system. Heavy drinking on one occasion is as bad as someone who drinks all the time. Please cut down very much on your drinking, but also see your doctor to make sure there are no permanent effects on your system already.
