Pirates baulked at re-signing Jali - agent
Andile Jali’s agent Mike Makaab has revealed on Twitter that Orlando Pirates didn’t make an official offer for the former KV Oostende midfielder, who joined Mamelodi Sundowns last Friday. According to Makaab, Pirates were interested in getting Jali (below) back into the Bucs fold, but they failed to make a formal offer, responding to a fan who asked why the midfielder had joined Sundowns. “Of course they did (enquire about Jali), but never made did an official offer. Each football club has its own understanding of which players they need and we should respect that,” said Makaab.
