40 films show­ing at Joburg fes­ti­val

The sec­ond Joburg Film Fes­ti­val kicked off this week and its list of films will cater to a wide au­di­ence, from dif­fer­ent ages, gen­ders and cul­tures.

Over 40 cu­rated re­leases show­case the best in African and in­ter­na­tional cin­ema from over 16 coun­tries at the Zone, Rose­bank Cin­ema Nou­veau, Maponya Mall and the Bio­scope in Mabo­neng, as well as Iconic Kings in Alexan­dra.

The sched­ule in­cludes fea­ture films, doc­u­men­taries and an­i­ma­tion fea­tures, in ad­di­tion to mas­ter classes, pro­grammes and work­shops. Se­lected films will host ques­tion-and-an­swer ses­sions af­ter­wards.
