Felix wants PSL move Pay up, Chiefs told

The Citizen (KZN) - - LOCAL NEWS -

Swazi star Felix Badenhorst (right) is still looking for a move to the Premier Soccer League in January, a Phakaaathi Plus source has said. Badenhorst was last year reported to be on his way to Kaizer Chiefs but the move failed and he ended up going to AS Vita in Democratic Republic of Congo. But his stay there was short-lived. “He was unhappy because of the treatment. He said it was made known to him that he was a foreigner and no one liked him. He has come back to Mbabane Swallows but there are still issues between the two clubs. He wants Vita to loan him to a PSL team so he can prove his potential on a bigger stage,” said the source.

Maritzburg Unitedare said to be seeking compensation from Kaizer Chiefs for the work they did on developing Wiseman Meyiwa (right), whose age has been under the spotlight lately. Media reports have claimed that Meyiwa was previously known as Wiseman Moshoeshoe and played for Maritzburg’s development academy. “I have heard Maritzburg are now contemplating writing to Chiefs to ask for compensation. They claim to have developed the player for four years. If that is true then it puts the player’s age in question because he can’t possibly be 17, if he was at United for that long before going to Chiefs,” said a source.
