Nine players board Buccaneers’ ship

Orlando Pirates made a serious statement in the transfer market yesterday, announcing the signing of nine new players for the 2018/19 campaign.

Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo, defensive midfielders Asavela Mbekile and Ben Motshwari, attacking midfielders Meshack Maphangule, Vincent Pule and Linda Mntambo, fullbacks Abel Mabaso and Paseka Mako and forward Kudakwashe Mahachi have all arrived.

“More details on the signings will be made available closer to the start of pre-season. The nine players will join the rest of the squad when the team returns for pre-season training on June 18,” read a statement on the Pirates website.
