Hamstring lays Southampton’s Ings low
– Southampton’s top scorer Danny Ings (right) has been ruled out for up to three weeks after suffering a hamstring injury, manager Ralph Hasenhuettl said on Thursday, dealing a blow to the south-coast side’s revival under the Austrian.
Ings, who has scored seven Premier League goals, limped off in the first half of Southampton’s 1-1 draw against Burnley last weekend.
“Danny had made a big step after 20 minutes to the ball and then sprinted and he then had a problem with his hamstring,” Hasenhuettl told reporters. –
