The Herald (South Africa)

Wake up and give us the good news

-

YOUR Views: “No coverage of Bloemfontein prayer meeting” in yesterday’s Herald has reference. I agree completely with Trevor Moore.

Your lack of coverage of the above, apolitical event is shameful and an embarrassment to your profession. The fact that well over a million South Africans, from all nine provinces, made the effort to attend this gathering is both remarkable and miraculous. One would think it would be a no-brainer to report this to some or other extent.

So many stories of hope, faith and love have come out of this, yet you apparently continue to focus on sad, sorrowful news relevant to a few.

I opened your paper again today to see if maybe you had seen the error of your ways. I searched for some delayed, apologetic report.

I only found your lame excuse, in your reply to Trevor’s correspondence, playing the blame game. Sis on you. Wake up. Smell the roses. Print good, positive, relevant news when it’s available out there. It’s time!
