Not worthy of name
IT beggars belief that nurses would refuse to assist a desperately ill pupil and abandon him to die in the street (“TB victim dies after rejection by clinic”, June 23).
One can only surmise that those responsible for this callous behaviour have never heard of the Nightingale Pledge and the words “to practice my profession faithfully” hold no meaning for them.
Their actions must surely have caused Florence Nightingale’s lamp to have dimmed.
I hope that criminal charges will be brought against these individuals.
They are not worthy of the name “nurses” and brought dishonour to a noble profession.
