Attack cowardly rather than daring
“A PORT Elizabeth cyclist was hit over the head with a plank and robbed in what appears to be a daring ambush . . .” (“PE cyclist attacked in Walmer”, HeraldLIVE) – with regard to this report, I do not believe the word “daring” is deserving of the description of what happened here.
I would suggest it should be replaced with the word “cowardly”.
There is nothing “daring” about hitting a cyclist on the head with a plank.
