SA in R12bn deal with Saudi firm
South Africa signed a R12bn renewable energy deal with a Saudi Arabia company on Thursday as part of a $10bn (R133bn) investment agreement, energy minister Jeff Radebe said.
Radebe is part of the delegation accompanying President Cyril Ramaphosa on a visit to Nigeria‚ Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
“Already we have signed a big deal of R12bn with Redstone and [energy company] ACWA‚ in partnership with the Central Energy Fund, for renewables in terms of solar and wind‚” Radebe said. –
