MAHLE Old Grey scored their sec­ond con­sec­u­tive big win in the Pelfa Old Buck Gin soc­cer league on Wed­nes­day.

Af­ter beat­ing St Al­bans 6-1 last week, they thrashed PE City 7-1 this time.

Cham­pi­ons Kuyga Mas­ters bat­tled to a 2-1 win over Cen­tral Ace­mates af­ter goals by Me­likhaya Md­lalo and Bandile Mata saw the teams level at half­time.

Mzuk­isi Ludonga se­cured max­i­mum points for Mas­ters from a di­rect free kick in the sec­ond half.

A gal­lant African Leop­ards were un­lucky to go down 3-2 to Fairview Rovers.

Goals by Be­van Reid (2) and Ri­aan Sauls saw the north­ern ar­eas out­fit lead­ing 3-0 at the break.

In the sec­ond half, goals by Sipho Solomon and Jomo Dlula saw Leop­ards come close to snatch­ing a share of the points.

Sham­rocks re­cov­ered from their 7-2 thrash­ing by Cal­lies last week to beat Pri­ory 3-2 with a late goal.

Brent Kopps and Rory Mortimer scored for Pri­ory with Ranga Pillay and Siven Naidoo re­ply­ing for the Rocks. Nah Padachie net­ted the win­ner.

In an­other close match, West­park beat NMB Mu­nic­i­pal­ity 3-2.

Sub­sti­tute Shane Jeneker gave West­park the lead five min­utes be­fore half­time, but NMB Mu­nic­i­pal­ity hit back im­me­di­ately.

Af­ter the break Trevor Jooste and Lionel Ter­re­blanche put West­park 3-1 ahead be­fore Mu­nic­i­pal­ity pulled one back in the dy­ing min­utes.
