Cops seek vic­tim of ab­duc­tion

Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for help in lo­cat­ing a 20-year-old man who was al­legedly ab­ducted in Fibi Street, Zwide, al­most three weeks ago.

De­tails of the in­ci­dent re­main sketchy, but po­lice con­firmed on Wed­nes­day that Athenkosi Boji had been miss­ing since Oc­to­ber 21.

Po­lice spokesper­son Cap­tain An­dre Beetge said chil­dren play­ing in the street had told po­lice that a sil­ver-grey ve­hi­cle had stopped next to Boji and three men had got out and ush­ered him into the car.

“They drove off again. Athenkosi has not been seen since,” he said.

Beetge said that Boji had been re­ported miss­ing by his mother a day af­ter the in­ci­dent.

“We are ap­peal­ing to the com­mu­nity for as­sis­tance,” he said.
