Londt Park look to put stamp on league

- Neale Emslie

Defending champions Londt Park will be looking to lay down an early marker when they begin the defence of their Super league men’s squash title at Crusaders on Tuesday.

They start their campaign against an Old Grey outfit likely to represent much of the province’s young talent and it is not a fixture to be taken lightly.

However, Londt Park will start as favourites as they strive to add to the titles they most recently won in 2016 and 2018.

NMU have a bye in the opening round.

In the women’s Super league, Crusaders will be chasing their fourth title in a row and their sixth in the last eight years. They again have a potent unit, with Anlen Murray and Janet Byrnes leading the way, while their strength in depth could be the telling factor.
