Two wounded in gang shootings

Two people were wounded in separate gang-related shootings at the weekend.

At 8.45pm on Friday, one of three men shot a 22-year-old man in the back in Beck Street, Bloemendal, police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu said.

He was shot several times as he tried to run away.

On Saturday at 6pm, a man was shot in Bramlin-Markman Road, Gelvandale, while sitting outside a spaza shop. He was struck twice in the abdomen.

Both men are in hospital.
