Hepatitis plea

LONDON: The number of people dying of hepatitis was rising, and most of the 325 million infected were unaware they had the virus and lacked access to life-saving medicines, the World Health Organisation said yesterday.

It said that with millions at risk of a slow progression to chronic liver disease, cancer and premature death, swift action on reducing the costs of testing and treatment was needed.
