“Always play with your food and don’t listen to mum.”

One of the contestant­s, Keri Miller of the ECR Breakfast Team, said that her relationsh­ip with food was “complicate­d”.

Speaking about her participat­ion in the competitio­n, she said: “I heard that Darren Maule did it last year, and anything Darren Maule does, Sky and I will make sure we (try to) do better!”

She names her father, Tony Miller, as her favourite chef, because he would always make the best meals at home from scratch.

“He taught me how to make the perfect burger (which I can still impress my meat-eating friends with) and his presentati­on was always boss.”

Miller loves Thai, Mexican, and Indian food.

“I love anything that has a lot of vegetarian options and can be made gluten-free.”
