US bird flu outbreak

BIRMINGHAM: A bird flu outbreak that resulted in the euthanasia of more than 200 000 animals is the US’s worst since 2015, an expert said yesterday.

Agriculture officials are trying to limit the damage, but it’s unclear whether quarantines and transportation bans will stop the spread, said Joseph Hess, a poultry professor.
