Omega set bidders’ pulses ticking

CANNON’S Auctioneers achieved some noteworthy prices at its collectables, antiques and art sale in Hilton.

One of the top final bids was for an 18ct yellow gold vintage Omega Constellation gents’ wristwatch which sold for R44000, exceeding Cannon’s top pre-sale estimate of R40000. Other auction successes included:

Two 18ct gold and enamel Masonic Jewels (lapel badges) – R19000 and R19500, respectively.

Carriage chandelier (obtained from a Zimbali estate revamp) – R18000.

Gabriel de Jongh Old Master landscape painting – R22000.
