Nazi show-and-tell history lesson slated
CANBERRA: A high-school employee is being investigated after bringing Nazi memorabilia and firearms to a history lesson in southern Australia.
A replica Zyklon B cyanide gas canister – similar to those used to kill Jews – was brought to the World War II history class at Dromana College on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, The Age newspaper said yesterday.
The employee, who is not a teacher, also baked a cake with a swastika on it and let a student wear a cap with the Nazi eagle on it.
Victoria’s education department condemned the act.
