SEVENTEEN musicians from St Anne’s Diocesan College were honoured by the SA Society of Music Teachers which invited them to its prize-giving ceremony for attaining distinctions in their International Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Trinity College of London and International Rockschool Practical Examinations. In addition, seven girls were awarded gold medals for having obtained the highest mark in their category for the Pietermaritzburg district (Pietermaritzburg, New Hanover, Wartburg and Bergville). The prize-giving, organised by the society, took place in The Wykeham Collegiate chapel in Pietermaritzburg.
