Crime, lazy cops, will cost the Cape visitors

-

CAPE Town International Airport has always been in an unsavoury area which has grown worse with the building of squatter camps.

Visiting the Cape last week with my family on holiday, we were attacked outside the airport in a smash and grab in which three of us were injured, but they got nothing of our property.

What upset me the most was the attitude of the people in four lanes of traffic stopped at lights where only one fellow, a taxi driver, came to our assistance. A stationary police car 50 meters ahead of us was not interested and did absolutely nothing. What a state South Africa has got itself into.

We shall not be returning to the Cape. IAN LLOYD Durban North
