AFTER months of anticipation, South African DJ and music maestro Black Coffee will officially kick off his three month Ibiza residency this weekend.

This momentous stint begins on Saturday, June 3 and wraps up on September 30.

In February, the man born Nathi Maphumulo, who has laid a solid music foundation for himself internationally, announced that he will be the new resident DJ at a club that will host scores of party goers and A-list international celebrities.

As the first resident DJ at the club, it means the We Dance Again hit maker will for the next three months be the headline act.

This achievement follows his 2016 participation at Coachella as the first South African act to appear there.

He will be playing alongside other recognised DJs such as Hendrik Schwarz from Germany and Salome from Spain.

The DJs fresh gig comes after a few days after he arrived in style at Cannes in a Tesla Model S luxury sedan, which is said to be owned by South African born billionaire Elon Musk, as he was gearing up to play at Cannes and Monaco.

Taking to his Instagram, Maphumulo posted a fivesecond clip video, letting his fans know that he will on the turntables on Saturday.

The celebrated DJ captioned the clip: “Join us on the opening night this Saturday @hiibizaofficial.”

The year 2017 has been fruitful for the DJ who has played at hip hop mogul Diddy’s house party while rubbing shoulders with A-listers in the US.
