KZN clubs prep for next campaign
AFTER securing PSL top eight finishes, Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United have begun preparations for next season.
Arrows, who made up for last campaign’s miss, have engaged Bidvest Wits over the release of striker Knox Mutizwa.
The Zimbabwean has been a marvel to watch for Arrows since joining on loan from Wits in the January transfer window. He scored five goals in 14 matches, prompting coach Clinton Larsen to request his return.
“He has made a positive impact in a very short space of time and I’m very happy for him. He’s got to go back to his club and spend pre-season and we’ll wait and see what Wits’ plans are for him,” Larsen said.
Maritzburg are preparing for life without Evans Rusike, who was previously linked with a move away after a strong finish to the 2014-15 season.
“The club has received good offers for Evans and it’s a matter of time before they sell him. The club wants to benefit out of the transfer,” a source said.
