AMER­I­CAN rap­per A$AP Ferg has of­fi­cially touched down in Mzansi and is look­ing for­ward to ex­plor­ing Jo­han­nes­burg and see where the late strug­gle icon, Nel­son Man­dela, lived.

“I am look­ing for­ward to per­form­ing for the first time in South Africa, hang­ing out with the peo­ple, learn­ing as much as I can from them and hope­fully find time to see where Nel­son Man­dela lived, so that I can I have some­thing to take back home with a magic touch,” he said.

A$AP Ferg was speak­ing at a press con­fer­ence at Sportscene at the Mall of Africa, ahead of the first Cap­sule Fes­ti­val at the Mary Fitzger­ald Sqaure in New­town, to­mor­row.

A first of its kind an­nual street cul­ture, the fes­ti­val aims to be the Mecca for all ur­ban cul­ture brands, artists, de­sign­ers and stake­hold­ers.

The fes­ti­val will see more than 30 lo­cal acts per­form­ing in­clud­ing Kwesta, AKA, Sho Mad­jozi, Da Les and Nasty C.
