Majoro joins Wits
FORMER Cape Town City striker Lehlohonolo Majoro yesterday joined ailing PSL champions Bidvest Wits.
Yesterday morning City announced that they had discontinued Majoro’s contract despite having six months remaining on their deal and just a few hours later Wits announced their latest capture.
“Bidvest Wits is pleased to announce the signing of Lehlohonolo Majoro with effect from January 1, 2018. Welcome to the Clever Boys family,” the club said.
Wits beat off competition from SuperSport United, who have been tracking Majoro since they first lost out on him back in 2014.
The 31 year old is one of the few players in the country to have played for both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. Majoro’s departure from City will open the door for Judas Moseamedi, who has enjoyed a number of cameo appearances.
