DUR­BAN is set top live up to its im­age as South Africa’s play­ground with a siz­zling beach party to wel­come in the sum­mer fes­tive sea­son.

The Bring Back Sum­mer mu­sic con­cert and beach party will be held at the pop­u­lar Blue La­goon on Novem­ber 25.

Or­gan­iser of the beach party, Em­manuel Dube of EM.ZA En­ter­tain­ment, said this will be a party where “sum­mer bod­ies are flaunted, great mu­sic never ceases, pop cul­ture per- son­al­i­ties come to­gether and, most im­por­tantly, the fun never stops.

More than 20 artists and DJs in­clud­ing gqom queen Babes Wo­dumo, Riky Rick, Ma­jor League, Distruc­tion Boys, DJ Walker and DJ Wob­bly will en­ter­tain rev­ellers.

“Bring Back Sum­mer is aimed at bring­ing to­gether all fun lov­ing peo­ple to­gether un­der the African sun. We are look­ing at hav­ing peo­ple from the con­ti­nent com­ing to­gether to cel­e­brate sum­mer and African mu­sic, and the beau­ti­ful city of Dur­ban cre­ates the per­fect am­biance for this event.

“This year we’ve teamed up with the Fresh Ink Party to throw the big­gest party to wel­come the sum­mer of 2017,” Dube said.

He said the party was be­ing mod­elled af­ter the world’s best beach par­ties from Mi­ami to Ibiza.
