Durban welcomes summer festive season
DURBAN is set top live up to its image as South Africa’s playground with a sizzling beach party to welcome in the summer festive season.
The Bring Back Summer music concert and beach party will be held at the popular Blue Lagoon on November 25.
Organiser of the beach party, Emmanuel Dube of EM.ZA Entertainment, said this will be a party where “summer bodies are flaunted, great music never ceases, pop culture per- sonalities come together and, most importantly, the fun never stops.
More than 20 artists and DJs including gqom queen Babes Wodumo, Riky Rick, Major League, Distruction Boys, DJ Walker and DJ Wobbly will entertain revellers.
“Bring Back Summer is aimed at bringing together all fun loving people together under the African sun. We are looking at having people from the continent coming together to celebrate summer and African music, and the beautiful city of Durban creates the perfect ambiance for this event.
“This year we’ve teamed up with the Fresh Ink Party to throw the biggest party to welcome the summer of 2017,” Dube said.
He said the party was being modelled after the world’s best beach parties from Miami to Ibiza.
