Atough year can end in a party

By the time you read this, 2016 will be al­most at an end and you will be won­der­ing what hap­pened to the year as it flew by so fast. What a year this has been - and one that I am sure many would rather put be­hind them.

I think 2016 will cer­tainly be re­mem­bered as the year “that the mu­sic died” if one con­sid­ers the num­ber of fa­mous mu­si­cians that passed away dur­ing the year namely, David Bowie, Paul Kant­ner, Glenn Frey, Keith Emer­son, Prince, Leonard Co­hen, Leon Rus­sell, Ge­orge Martin and Nico Carstens. It will also be re­mem­bered as the year in which a rank out­sider achieved some­thing that no one ex­pected, and was voted in as the next United States Pres­i­dent af­ter a long and pro­tracted elec­tion cam­paign. I guess one could say that Amer­i­can vot­ers played their Trump card.

On a lo­cal note the con­tin­ued drought, elec­tions and the fees must fall cam­paign vied for cen­tre stage
