Aviagen to buy Hubbard Breeders

The Poultry Bulletin - - CONTENTS -

International genetics firm Aviagen is set to acquire Hubbard Breeders, the broiler breeding division of Group Grimaud, in an agreement that will be concluded later this year.

While Hubbard Breeders will operate as a wholly-owned subsidy of Aviagen Group, the two entities will retain separate breeding programmes and commercial activities, although a company statement said they would share ‘best practices, experience and knowledge’.

“Hubbard’s diversity of genetic products and in-depth expertise in the different segments of the broiler breeding market will greatly contribute to Aviagen’s expanding product line offerings,” said Aviagen chief executive Jan Henriksen, who

will ultimately oversee the business.¡
