Millions culled in bird flu scare

The Poultry Bulletin - - CONTENTS -

Amur Broiler, one of the largest poultry producers in eastern Russia, has culled more than 1 million broilers in the last seven weeks due to the presence of bird flu. This action followed laboratory inspection of samples taken from dead poultry, which showed the possible presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Despite the incident, Amur’s broiler parent flock, which is located separately, remains unaffected by the disease.

The articles above have all been compiled by the Editor and do not necessarily represent the views, opinions or positions of SAPA.
