Industry information

The Poultry Bulletin - - FROM THE DESK - Kind regards, Dr Charlotte Nkuna, Interim CEO.¡

One of SAPA’S main services to the industry has been the gathering and publishing of industry data through independent service providers. Over the years, the participation of producers in this process has reduced drastically. The broiler producer participation has reduced so much that it’s become impossible to produce statistics for the broiler industry. This is indeed a great loss, as this information is not only valuable to producers but also to government, banks, secondary industries, individuals looking to enter the industry, and many others. The lack of this information is going to make it very difficult for entities to follow industry progress and developments.

SAPA appeals to all broiler producers, members and non-members to reconsider their stance and submit the information for the benefit of everyone. Producers are welcome to contact SAPA offices should they have any questions or require any assistance.
