Trade measures

The Poultry Bulletin - - FROM THE DESK -

There are several trade measures that the previous CEO of SAPA was working on very hard and diligently. These matters are still continuing and as such, the producers will receive regular updates on them. Almost all the matters affect the broiler producers as they concern the imports of poultry meat products, as well as the exports of poultry meat products to Namibia.

For producer information, the current matters are the European Partnership Agreement (EPA) Safeguard; the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) application; the Sunset Review of United States poultry exports; tariff reclassification; the Namibian case; the United States Salmonella case; and lastly, the AGOA quota.
