Thoughts on the Qtn tip?

The Rep - - NEWS -

THE Rep is looking into various concerns raised about air pollution, allegedly caused by fires at the Lukhanji refuse tip near Ezibeleni. Over the past weeks, several residents have complained of bronchial or lung infections which they believe may be attributed to the smog and have raised concerns over the environmental impact of the fires. Lukhanji executive mayor Nozi Makanda recently indicated that planning was un- derway to move the tip while spokesman Fundile Feketshane has produced additional information which will form part of the planned story.

We would like to invite residents who want to speak about the tip - whether with a positive recommendation or a concern - to contact The Rep on zolilem@timesme or send a fax to 045- 839 4059.

Please include your name and indicate if you would like to remain anonymous.
