Community help for centre
THE children of Wonderland under the care of Marieke Baker, Protea Superspar and Twizza joined in donating food hampers to Phumelela Special Care Centre of Ezibeleni to celebrate the spirit of ubuntu on World Hunger Day recently.
Phumelela Special Care Centre is a centre for underprivileged and disabled children. There are 72 special children at the centre on a daily basis. They receive academic and skills training and are fed two balanced meals a day.
Phumlelela Special Care Centre does not receive any government funding and is mostly reliant on the goodwill of the Queenstown community.
A plea has been made to the Queenstown community to assist “Gogo” Nobunto Gulwa with her unselfish work by donating food hampers or offer- ing help to the centre to make it a safe environment for the children.
She may be contacted on 076-335-6988 or on email@example.com Phumelela is situated in the social development building next to the Magistrate’s Court.
